MLEA - The King's Birthday Cake
The King’s Birthday Cake
First, teacher gave each of us a piece of coloured paper. Then we put some glue on it. We pasted the coloured paper onto the drawing of the big birthday cake.
We continued pasting until all the spaces had been pasted with coloured papers. Finally, we had a big colourful birthday cake.
We were very happy and clapped our hands.

More Reading at Home
Many of the pupils lack reading skills. They were easily intimidated by the sight of lengthy printed words.
Even without first attempting to read, they would straight away tell themselves that they were unable to read.
As such, it would be very important that they have someone to read the text to them . Unfortunately, many would not have that someone to read to them the books tha they like.
Thus, the pupils are introduced to interesting reading websites as shown below, where they would be able to listen to stories and to learn how to read independently.

Integrrated Learning Journey to the zoo
The pupils were given an enriching experience outside the four walls of the classroom.
Prior to their ILJ, the pupils were briefed and they were given booklets contaning questions that required them to read the information boards at the animal enclosures or things that they ed to look out for.
Their experiences were put to good use in their English lessons where they had to write journals, picture composition for their written expressions and their IT infused English lessons.

Our activities
The pupils in 1 Diligence had been given the opportunities in applying the knowledge that they had been taught by the teachers.
To test their mastery in the English and Chinese language, they were given tasks to be carried out independently.
Likewise, to test their mathematical skills they were also given simple and interesting tasks to be done independently.
These were made possible by having the whole of P1 classes involved in the P1 Activity day and the P1 Mactivity days . On these days, the teachers brought them to the diffrent classrooms for them to do the activites. On the whole, the pupils had a lot of fun moving around the diffrent stations in carrying out the activities.
